Real time yield data

To better optimise land use, farmers need more granular, spatial data on the productivity and yield of their fields, therefore allowing a tailored treatment regimen to be planned. Our client wished to add a module for real-time grain metering onto a combine harvester.

This is a substantial challenge due to the non-uniform nature of the density and size of grains; Sagentia developed a grain metering system which could work in the unpredictable, dusty, vibration filled working environment through assessment and mathematical modelling of different mass flow technologies.

Customer farmers will receive geo display depicting yield levels on an area-by-area basis in order to better inform precision dosing and irrigation systems.
